I am an official mentor for Yoga Campus in London, as well as working privately with young teachers. As a mentor I offer support and guidance to help find an authentic voice and confidence as a yoga teacher. Included are opportunities to assist with my classes and workshops. This is a way for me to further the standard of yoga teaching, which is very important to me. It also gives each mentee a chance to benefit from my years of experience.
I also teach workshops and modules for teacher training programs.
If you are interested in having me mentor or coach you to improve your teaching skills please email me directly.
Finding Your Authentic Voice: Practical Performance Skills for Yoga Teachers
In this day-long workshop, suitable for teachers, teachers-in-training and group facilitators, we will explore vocal and physical theatre techniques to improve your ability to present your teaching. Sarah Scharf (MFA) is a yoga teacher and teacher trainer who uses movement practice as an avenue to create resilience, freedom, creativity and self-knowledge to improve quality of life.
Holding space authentically requires strong and receptive presence and this workshop aims to give concrete tools to develop your unique voice. During the day you will have a chance to receive individual feedback on ways to help improve your vocal skills, build awareness of language habits and ways to clarify teaching as well as fun warm-ups and exercises to increase comfort with improvisation and responding to the moment. Themes will include:
Projection and Intonation
visual, audio and kinesthetic
Not thoroughly covered in most trainings, these skills are vital to being an effective teacher.
Come prepared to play with your edges and grow your teaching practice.
This training is often taught in conjunction with other trainings, as a module or special offer.
